FAMILY LIFE.
Sonny first met Malou, his wife, in Grade school. She was also a batch mate in High school. In 1985, while sharing the word of God to his former classmates during their High School reunion, Malou, who was also a Christian, joined the group. It took two years of getting to know each other well before Sonny proposed to Malou. They were married on September 22, 1988. All their children are helping out in the ministry even at their very young age. Dan Mishael (Danish, 19) and Dan Nikë (Danik, 18) are both active in the Music Ministry, while the younger ones, Dan Hananiah (Daniah, 12) and Dan Azariah (Danri, 11), both assist in the Kids’ Ministry.

LIFE IN THE MINISTRY.
Sonny’s first encounter with the LORD was in May 13, 1984 when he accompanied his friend to attend a service at his brother’s home church at Broadway Centrum. He came hesitant and unprepared to give up his life as an active member of a mainline denomination, yet he found himself in front and accepting Jesus during the altar call after hearing the message on God’s forbearance.

In his earlier years as a Christian, he participated in almost all ministries, finding fulfillment in it and enjoying teaching the Word of God. He discovered his gift on teaching through the encouragement of friends in church and confirmed it to be his major gift when he took a Spiritual Gift Inventory Test. His desire to teach God’s word grew, and so did his desire to go full time into the ministry. In 1988, he resigned from his teaching jobs at PUP and AMACC and came into the ministry as a pastor of a church in San Juan. The legacy he would like to leave behind with the people he encounters is passion for God and Discipleship. He savors preaching on Faith, Character, The Church and Ministry, Practical living, and Winning in life.

WISDOM TO LIVE BY.
“For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield” (Psalm 5:12). “The favor of God, “ Sonny relates, “if we fully understand it, is more than enough for us to live victoriously.”
