FAMILY LIFE.
Chico and Mary Anne have been married for 20 years. They met in Letran College in Intramuros, Manila, being in the same organization, the Letran Peer Facilitators Association under the College Guidance Center. Chico was taking up BS Management while Mary Anne was a BS Psychology student. They were married in June 26, 1988 and have 3 bright, well-rounded children: Joko, 19, is a full scholar in Music Production at De La Salle University-College of St.Benilde. Nina, 18, a consistent Dean’s Lister in the same university, is taking up Fashion Design. Their youngest, 3-year old Julio is doing well in his Kumon classes. Chico does not hold back on his family and children. Their bonding moments include him exchanging banters with his wife and children.

LIFE IN THE MINISTRY.
Rino Que, a businessman and one of Victory Alabang’s effective small group leaders, has been reaching out to Chico and Mary Anne since 1999. It was only in 2002 that Chico gave his life to the Lord which he recalls, was initially only to “get out of a situation.” It was in 2003 that Chico truly surrendered his life to God. During Praise and Worship in one of the Sunday services in November of that year, Chico felt a strong desire to take part in the worship. “My heart leapt!” He says. In 2005, he expressed his desire to Pastor Ariel and waited for God to bring things into order. He served as a worship leader from 2004-2006. In August 23, 2006, Chico and Mary Anne, through a meeting with Pastor Ariel, received a formal invitation to go full time into the ministry. He enrolled in the School for World Missions in 2007 and graduated a year later.

WISDOM TO LIVE BY.
1 Timothy 3:1-4.“Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer, he desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect.” This was the verse that Pastor Ariel shared with Chico when they were given the formal invitation into the ministry. This is the verse that Chico stands on as he continues in the calling that God has given him.

CHICO TRIVIA.
Chico is a blue-blooded choco-holic! By simply smelling the wrapper, he can tell if it’s still good or already bad.
